Friday’s birthday burger.
(Not my “Shot of the Day” yet, but it was too tasty not to post. I took my birthday afternoon off and snapped a lot of photos.)
On Friday, I made my first pilgrimage to Kuma’s Corner for a birthday burger. While I’d heard the horror stories about the wait, I managed to grab a seat at the bar after only 10 minutes or so.
What you see up there is the “Lair of the Minotaur”: a 10oz medium-rare burger on a pretzel roll topped with carmelized onions, pancetta, a generous slab of brie, and a bourbon-soaked pear. Add some waffle fries and a Three Floyds Gumballhead and I had me quite the birthday feast.
